Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) announced on Mar. 9 the promotion of Shoji Takeuchi to lead its Asia Pacific sales operations.

The move highlights Alba’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in the Asia Pacific region, a key market for the company’s growth and expansion strategy.

Shoji joined Alba in December 2020 and played a pivotal role in establishing Alba’s Singapore branch, which now serves as the company’s sales hub for Asia. Over recent years, he has helped deepen Alba’s presence in the region, including expanding into the Japanese market where Alba supplies all Value-Added Products. His work has also supported entry into other markets such as Thailand and across the wider Far East.

Commenting on the promotion, Alba’s Chief Executive Officer said: “Shoji has consistently demonstrated a strong customer‑centric mindset and a deep understanding of regional market dynamics. His promotion reinforces our focus on delivering reliable supply, high‑quality products and long‑term value to our customers across Asia Pacific.”

Before joining Alba, Shoji worked at UACJ, Japan’s largest rolling mill and extrusion company. There he gained experience in procurement and trading of Value-Added Products and P1020 aluminium, as well as derivatives trading. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in politics from Senshu University in Tokyo.
