A graduation ceremony was held on October 8, 2025, at Aluminium Bahrain’s (Alba) Oasis Hall to recognize 24 employees who completed the Top-Up Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) programme. This brings the total number of national graduates from this partnership with the University of Huddersfield to 48.

The event was attended by Alba’s Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali, members of the company’s executive management team, and senior officials and faculty from the University of Huddersfield. Among those present were Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange Professor Monty Adkins and Project Manager Dr. Mosttafa Alghadhi.

During the ceremony, Ali Al Baqali stated: “At Alba, learning never stops. Every graduate here today proves that investing in our people is investing in Alba’s future. Empowering our national workforce remains at the heart of our mission and our success.”

Al Baqali also announced that a third batch of the Top-Up BEng programme in Mechanical Engineering will begin this month as part of Alba’s ongoing collaboration with Huddersfield University. This initiative aligns with Alba’s strategy to develop internal talent and promote continuous learning among its workforce.
