Sohaila Rahman has been appointed as the Chief Legal and Governance Officer at Aluminium Bahrain (Alba). Rahman, a UK-qualified lawyer, brings over two decades of experience to her new role. Her career includes significant positions in both private practice and in-house legal departments across the UK, UAE, and Bahrain. She has provided legal advice to financial institutions, real estate developers, and multinational companies on various matters such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and real estate development.
Khalid Al Rumaihi, Chairman of Alba’s Board of Directors, expressed his satisfaction with the appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Sohaila to the Alba family. Rahman holds a 2:1 LLB Law degree from the University of Reading in the UK and completed her Legal Practice Course at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice. She is an exclusive contributor on Employment Law in Bahrain for LexisNexis Middle East and was awarded the Author Award in 2019.
