American University of Sharjah issued the following announcement on April 29.

Forty-two students from the AUS School of Business Administration (SBA) were inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) on April 24 in the Jafar Executive Education Lounge at SBA. Beta Gama Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate programs at a school accredited by AACSB International.

According to its website, “the mission of the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to cultivate and celebrate leadership and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members.”

The SBA chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma was established in Spring 2012 after SBA received full AACSB accreditation in 2011.
