Arabia CSR Networks is hosting the seventh annual Arabia CSR
Forum under the patronage of the League of Arab States on the 19th
and 20th of October.
The event will take place at the Steigenberger
Hotel in Business Bay, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The goal is to advance the livelihoods of those in the
region while also shielding the earth’s natural resources. At the conference,
high profile speakers will give insight into corporate social responsibility
and sustainability initiatives. Speakers include representatives from United
Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), The League of
Arab States and the Earth Institute at Columbia University and UNEP-ROWA.
This year’s conference theme is “Accelerating the Arab
Sustainable Development Agenda through Innovation and Collaboration.” The forum
will address four sessions: the current state of sustainability in the Arab
world and pressing development priorities; enhancement of corporate social
responsibility for policy coherence; interdependencies and disparities between
pubic and private collaborators; and the nexus of youth, innovation and social
enterprise.
The Arabia CSR Network, a professional multi-stakeholder
organization created in the UAE in 2004, exists to advance corporate social responsibility
in the Arab world.
