More than 90 Arabic and English language coordinators from
45 independent schools recently came together in Doha, Qatar, for “Haseen” — an educational cyber safety program.

Attendees of the event sat in on workshops that trained cyber
safety topics that Haseen covers, as well as sessions on best practices in the
field. The workshops will help these professionals understand the program, its
vision, mission and end goals along with how to use the Haseen search engine.

Developed jointly by the Ministry of Transport and
Communications and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Haseen
teaches school children how to think critically and behave online. The program
comes with 348 learning activities and 148 learning resources. It provides
comprehensive, customized and interactive information aimed at improving
students’ critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork skills.

The program has both Arabic and English curriculum. It will
provide learning across other subjects, as well.
