A newly signed agreement between ARxIUM and Wael Pharmacy
Company W.L.L. will allow ARxIUM to distribute the specialized health care
equipment supplier’s RIVA automated IV compounding system in Bahrain.

RIVA is
designed to keep patients safe while also preparing IV bags and syringes more
efficiently. This system is the only one on the market today that can complete
these tasks in an aseptic ISO Class 5 environment.

“Partnering with an industry leader such as Wael Pharmacy
will increase our presence in Bahrain and help meet growing interest in RIVA’s
ability to produce accurate, safe medications,” Dr. Niels Hansen,
president and CEO of ARxIUM, said. “Widely known for its strong market presence and
industry knowledge, the company’s expertise helps create several immediate
opportunities for RIVA to display its unmatched IV compounding capabilities and
ability to produce a consistently strong return on investment.”

Wael Pharmacy is involved in the numerous aspects of
importing, warehousing, distributing and marketing health care equipment. The
company is based out of Manama and was founded in 1966. Wael Pharmacy works
with the world’s top health care equipment manufacturers in regards to
pharmaceutical, laboratory, health care consumer and surgical medical products.
The company works to ensure hospitals and can provide the best customer service
possible while utilizing the most innovative equipment.

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is currently using the RIVA systems to prepare IV
medications. Other benefits of the RIVA systems are affording hospitals the
benefit of saving a substantial amount of money and reducing pharmacy wastes.
