Construction firm Astad recently announced plans for
regional expansion in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region during the
Qatar-Saudi Economic Forum held in Riyadh.

 

CEO Ali al-Khalifa showcased the firm’s
experiences in Qatar during a speech at the event and talked about the company’s plans to support the achievement of the Saudi National Vision 2030.

 

“Our operations outside of Qatar
have launched,” al-Khalifa said. “The
motivation behind this expansion comes from the accumulated experience we have
in Qatar. We are a fully-integrated project and asset management firm with a
portfolio of projects that reflect our teams’ innovation. We believe the
experience, knowledge, and excellence that we have built in Qatar over the
years will prove to be beneficial to our clients in Saudi Arabia and the wider
region.”

 

In attendance at the forum were Qatar Chamber Chairman Khalifa al-Thani, Al Jouf Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Dr Hamdan al-Samarain, dignitaries from Qatar Tourism Authority, the
General Authority for Investment in the Kingdom, Astad and Qatar Development
Bank, along with key business owners and corporates.
