The Coca-Cola Co. recently signed a corporate deal to make its products the only soft drinks available at movie theaters owned by the Bahrain Cinema Company, the kingdom’s entertainment industry market leaders commonly known as Cineco.

Cineco’s CEO Ahmed Rashed said at the singing ceremony that took place at the company’s headquarters in Manama that he was excited to enter into the partnership since Coca-Cola products are renowned around the world.

“We look forward to reveling in the fruits of this productive new collaboration as it is in the best interests of our cherished customers,” Rashed said.

He continued that Cineco looks forward to “basking in the positive feedback from (customers) subsequent to the completion of the augmentation of their movie experience.”

Coca-Cola also will bring its “Cinema Tower” soft drink machines to Cineco’s theaters in Bahrain. The machines will be imported from the United States and aim to cut down on the time customers stand in line at movie theater concession stands.

The machines will be installed in all of the Bahrain Cinema Company’s 44 theaters. The theater chain averages more than 11,000 moviegoers per day, which will see a dramatic increase in coming years as new theaters open.
