Bahrain’s Sheikha Noora Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa is in Helsinki, Finland this week, exploring potential partnership possibilities in the education export sector with Metropolia UAS.

Bahrain’s reputation for formal education and its location near the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries makes the country a potential market for Metropolia UAS, which has had several contacts related to education export with the public and private sector in the region.

Early this year, a business delegation from Bahrain, headed by Minister of Economic Affairs Jan Vapaavuori, visited Metropolia aiming to start negotiations between both countries. The visit of the Bahrainian princess reinforces the country’s interest in the potential cooperation opportunities with Finland and highlights the competitive advantages it could have in GCC countries, especially in the health care and education sectors.

Sheikha Noora Al Khalifa owns the Educational Institute in Bahrain and 16 other companies from different sectors. She is a National Brand Ambassador of the International non-Olympic University and also was elected as a member of the board of directors for the Arab Union in charge of protecting intellectual property rights.
