Employees of the Bahrain
Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) were recently challenged to work together on everything from mental exercises to physical challenges during a team-building program.

The BIBF enlisted the help of Naseej BSC to conduct an activity-based training program that simulated a work environment in order to enhance employee performance and communication.

“With reasonable investment, much can be gained by the
employees through the interaction they have with each other outside of the
typical workplace environment,” Ahmed Al Hammadi, Naseej’s general manager, said. “Participants will walk away from the experience confident that
the effort and resources that went into coordinating a group event has lasting
positive results.

The teams worked through various stages of
team development known as “forming, storming, norming, performing and adjourning.”

“Experiential activities performed as a group are an
invaluable tool in trying to create or strengthen a team,” Kadri Rizk, head of the Leadership and Management Centre at the BIBF, said. “Organisations that
realize this are often the ones that achieve a higher degree of success.”
