A meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalid Al Khalifa and Palestine’s ambassador to the kingdom of Bahrain, Taha Qadir, on Tuesday reaffirmed Bahrain’s
commitment to Palestine.

The minister hosted the ambassador and expressed his
dedication to ensure Bahrain continues to support Palestinian efforts — which
adhere to international laws and charters — to offer the residents their
independent state on the national territories of June 4th, 1976, with Eastern
Quds as its capital.

Bahrain also backs the United Nations’ relevant
resolutions, the Arab Peace Initiative, and advised the residents of the region
to work towards long-term peace for Palestinian residents, which works toward
the betterment of all nations and residents.

The Palestinian ambassador showed appreciation for Bahrain’s
commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and for helping develop safety
and stability throughout the region. Before leaving, the ambassador wished the
people and leaders of Bahrain wellness and prosperity.
