A meeting, held Nov. 14 between the Foreign Ministries of
the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of India, falls in line with the joint
communiqué after a visit by King Hamad Al Khalifa to the
Republic of India in February 2014.

This was the Fourth Consultation Meeting
between the two countries.

The assistant undersecretary for Arab and Afro-Asian affairs and organizations, Rana Al Khalifa, headed the Bahraini
group while the Indian side was overseen by Mridul Kumar, joint secretary (Gulf
and Haj) in the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.

The meeting touched on the significance of the two countries
meeting regularly to help boost the economies and business ties in numerous
industries. The groups also discussed collaborative efforts of the countries.

A memorandum of understanding was signed by the two
ministries in 2004 which calls for regular, bilateral meetings between the
Foreign Ministries of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of India.
