The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) is accepting applications for enrollment UK programs.

“BIBF is pleased to offer exceptional academic programs in Bahrain in collaboration with world class universities,” BIBF Deputy Director Ahmed Abdul Hameed Al Shaikh said. “Our mission is to develop world-class human capital for the banking, finance and related sectors in Bahrain, and one of the ways in which we achieve this is through our academic partnerships with first-class universities such as Bangor University and the University of London.”

BIBF offers University of London’s Bachelor of Science degree in economics and management, while the Bangor University program at BIBF offers undergraduate degrees in banking and finance, Islamic finance and accounting.

“All of our Bangor students are exposed to practical, hands-on training through the BIBF ‘dealing room’,” BIBF Academic Center Head Keith Sharp said. “This is the only one of its kind in the Middle East and confronts students with real-life economic scenarios to which they must react. It is an excellent preparation for the real world of business and finance.”

The UK undergraduate programs are open to students who have passed an approved foundation course equivalent to A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate Diploma. For those who have not, BIBF has an International Foundation Program (IFP) that has been determined to be equivalent of those two qualifications by the UK National Recognition Information Centre. Students who complete the IFP are then eligible for admission to an UK university or the UK undergraduate programs at BIBF.
