Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance issued the following announcement on March 17.

Attended by representatives of the Kingdom’s leading financial institutions, the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF) hosted a professional business breakfast event on understanding Assessment, in collaboration with Innovative HR Solutions (IHS).

The event – held at the BIBF campus – aimed to raise awareness about assessment tools for recruitment and development of staff. The BIBF’s Assessment and Development Centre is the only Centre in Bahrain to offer behavioural assessment alongside personality and aptitude tests. With over 50 HR professional attendees, the event included a session to highlight the importance of Assessment in the recruitment and selection process.

The BIBF’s Head of the Assessment and Development Centre, Dr. Abdulla Al Sada stated, “Companies spend thousands of dinars recruiting, interviewing candidates, training new hires and then replacing them if the performance doesn’t meet business requirements in the long run. Because of this turnover, more companies are turning to personality assessments to improve their hiring ROI.”

The Managing Director of Innovative HR Solutions, Ms. Amanda White said, “The past 10 years have seen unprecedented changes in utilising assessment tools to support hiring and promotions decisions. Organisations need to leverage results to pinpoint specific learning and development needs, to ensure maximum employee engagement and enhance business performance.”

Hiring through an Assessment Centre ensures far more accurate results than relying on the standard recruitment process, as it allows a broader range of selection methods to be used during the hiring process.

The Kingdom of Bahrain boasts the best-trained human capital in the region and has long been the leader in providing a skilled workforce to satisfy growing market demand.
