Approximately 600 students will enroll at Bahrain Polytechnic for the 2015-2016 academic year that starts on Sept. 6, the highest number of students accepted by the institution since 2012, Polytechnic said on Thursday.

The decision to offer more vacancies came after a study to verify whether Polytechnic could handle a higher volume of students and maintain educational quality. To handle the demand, the school improved its classrooms, laboratories and equipment.

Bahrain Polytechnic’s acting CEO,

Mohamed Al Aseeri, said the school’s educational standards are aligned with the government’s 2015-2018 action plan and the Bahrain 2030 Vision plan. Overall, the standards aim to prepare students to enter the job market upon graduation.

The many companies within the Kingdom that have trained and hired Polytechnic graduates provide evidence that the school’s efforts have been fruitful.
