The minister of foreign affairs for the kingdom of Bahrain,
Shaikh Khalid Al Khalifa, recently chaired the
Supplementary Meeting of the Ministerial Council’s 141st
Preparatory Session for the 37th GCC Supreme Council’s
Session.

 

Al Khalifa and the council discussed decisions and
recommendations brought forth by various ministerial committees about
reinforcing joint actions in all fields.

The council also reviewed recent
regional and international developments, dissecting their potential effect and
impact on the Gulf region.

 

The meeting came after the GCC ministers of foreign affairs
arrived in Bahrain during a ceremony with Al Khalifa. Dr. Abdullatif Al Zayani, the GCC secretary general, as well as heads and members of the accredited
diplomatic missions to Bahrain, were also in attendance at the ceremony.
