Chemical company BASF and the Kanoo Group, an independent, family-owned company, have launched a new branch office in the Nation Towers of Abu Dhabi.

“With our new Abu Dhabi branch office, we extend the long-term cooperation with our joint-venture partner, the Kanoo Group, focusing on the oil and gas industry,” Jens Rudolph, managing director of BASF Middle East Chemicals LLC in Abu Dhabi, said. “With our current product portfolio specialized on gas treatment, catalysts, adsorbents and petrochemicals, we want to better serve our customers in the region.”

BASF has operated in the Middle East for more than six decades through several joint ventures with the Kanoo Group.

“We seek to leverage our leading position as an integrated global chemical company to create growth opportunities in Abu Dhabi for both our customers and us by sharing our industry expertise based on our unique chemical know-how,” Florian Krueckl, managing director at BASF FZE and BASF Middle East LLC, said. “Our growth strategy is driven by innovative products and solutions that contribute to conserving resources and improving quality of life.”
