BGR the Burger Joint has opened an international franchise in Kuwait’s new Promenade Mall.

“We are very pleased to begin serving customers at the Promenade Mall BGR restaurant,” BGR Franchising President Ed Kelley said. “This location provides an ideal dining experience in an upscale, family-centric entertainment venue.”

BGR features a better-burger concept with a menu focused on cooked-to-order burgers over an open flame, as well as food made from the freshest and highest quality ingredients. While the United States-based fast-casual gourmet burger chain is owned by Chanticleer Holdings, the franchise is owned and operated by Master Franchise Operator Al Bassamiah. The new BGR restaurant in Kuwait is part of Al Bassamiah’s 35-unit expansion plans across four countries in the Gulf Coast.

“We are thrilled to open a location to better serve our loyal customer base in Kuwait,” Chanticleer Holdings CEO Mike Pruitt said. “Al Bassamiah is a true partner who delivers superior service and performance and executes on our shared vision for growth in the region.”

Besides BGR the Burger Joint, Chanticleer Holdings owns and operates numerous other restaurant brands including American Burger Co. and Hooters.
