Kuwait’s new SeaView Mall is now home to the third international franchise of the U.S.-based upscale fast food outlet, BGR the Burger Joint, a company that provides an alternative to other burger chains, which will be situated in a prime spot in the mall with views of the Arabian Sea.

BGR seeks to provide customers with a great dining experience and has selected Abu Halifa because it is a unique community that features a population heavily influenced by Europeans and Americans.

The BGR franchise is owned and operated by Master Franchise Operator Al Bassamiah, owned by Nasser Al Mutair. As part of a 35 unit BGR restaurant expansion in four Gulf Coast countries, the franchisee is also scheduled to open a fourth BGR restaurant in Kuwait before the end of the year.

“We look forward to welcoming and serving customers of the SeaView Mall who can now visit BGR the Burger Joint to enjoy outdoor dining with beautiful sunset views on the beaches of the Arabian Sea, making for a wonderful dining experience,” BGR President of Franchising Ed Kelley said. “Nasser and his team enhance the customer experience with first class food and service.”

BGR is owned by Chanticleer Holdings in North Carolina. The holding company’s CEO, Mike Pruitt, said the higher-class burger concept is growing ever more popular in international markets, which he said is demonstrated by BGR’s success in Kuwait.

“We are fortunate to have an experienced franchisee in place who shares our vision for this ever growing and evolving market,” Pruitt said.
