The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) recently launched a new course in cooperation with Bahrain Bourse (BHB) that is designed to enhance investing and trading skills among Bahrainis.

“As a result of this agreement, a specialized educational
platform of investing in financial markets will be launched,” Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim
Al-Khalifa, Bahrain Bourse’s CEO, said. “The platform will encompass awareness programs to address the
needs of all ages of citizens and will open up doors to cooperate in various
areas between BHB and BIBF during the upcoming period.”

Through a
partnership, BHB will use BIBF facilities for its stakeholders and provide them
with simulation programs. The BIBF will provide support by delivering training
programs such as its “Securities Market Regulation Certification” program.

“We see this initiative between the BIBF and BHB a further
enhancement to the skill-set required in Capital Markets,” Solveig Nicklos, director of the BIBF, said. “The approach we are taking is a holistic one where
we are taking steps to boost required skills from an early stage starting with
schools and move upwards to train professionals at the same time.”
