It was decided in a recent board of trustees meeting that Ajman
University of Science and Technology will now be known as Ajman University.

Sheikh Humaid Al Nuaimi, chairman of the board of trustees, led the meeting, which was attended by Sheikh Rashid Al Nuaimi, vice chairman of the board and
chairman of the executive committee, among others affiliated with the
university.

The meeting was also used to endorse the results of the spring
semester, first summer and second summer semesters of the 2015 – 2016 academic
school year, in addition to other issues taken up by the executive committee.
Before the meeting was adjourned, a committee was developed for the functions
of the Thamer Fund for Educational Solidarity at Ajman University, which will
be audited by a third party.

The board approved the new organizational structure for
Ajman University.

The new organizational structure of Ajman University was
also endorsed. Chancellor Dr. AbdulKareem Al Sageer, who previously served at
American University of Cairo, was appointed to head the university.
