The China Foreign Trade Center said it will present huge opportunities for Kuwait traders at the 119th Canton Fair running April 15 to May 5 in Guangzhou, China.

The event is the largest trade fair in China showcasing a range of products across a variety of categories from companies around the world. Categories include consumer electronics, electronic and electrical products, computer and communication, household electrical appliances, lighting equipment, building materials, hardware, machinery equipment, food and drink, household items and fabrics and home textiles.

Last fall, the fair attracted more than 177,500 professional buyers from 213 countries and regions. A little more than 500 of those buyers were from Kuwait who were mainly looking for products that fell into the categories of electronics and household electrical appliances, consumer goods and home decorations.

“Considering the population of Kuwait, this group represented a huge group of businessmen,” Hakel Wen, international VIP service executive for the international communication department of the China Foreign Trade Center, said. “This is reflective of the strong commercial ties between Kuwait and China. I am therefore confident that, with China and Kuwait’s firm commitment at maintaining such healthy trade relations, we will see an even bigger contingent from Kuwait.”
