Carnegie Mellon joines forces with Qatar military

Carnegie Mellon University at Qatar (CMU-Q) has armed itself with more opportunities to provide its students through a recent agreement with the Qatar Armed Forces. CMU-Q will share its executive leadership training expertise with the military, which will in turn provide employment opportunities, scholarships and internships to students and alumni of CMU-Q.

 

A memorandum of understand was signed by Brig. Gen. Abdulaziz Falah Aldosary, commander
of the Emiri Signal Corps and Information Technology, and Ilker Baybars, dean and
CEO of CMU-Q.

 
The
agreement with the Qatar Armed Forces marks CMU-Q’s 25th memorandum of
understanding. The university also partners with government ministries, local businesses, Qatar-based offices of multinational corporations and other agencies, all with the goal of provide opportunities for learning and contribution for CMU-Q
students.
