Carrier Commercial Refrigeration Middle East, the region’s subsidiary of the major American refrigeration firm, has won the contract to supply refrigeration equipment to the 7-Eleven franchises set to open in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this year.

7-Eleven is the world’s largest convenience store company with more than 56,000 stores across 16 countries. The company signed a master franchise agreement with Seven Emirates Investment LLC to develop and operate new 7-Eleven stores in the UAE.

The new locations will mark 7-Eleven’s first in the Middle East region, and Carrier Commercial Refrigeration Middle East will supply the large refrigeration units used for the new convenience stores.

“We are proud to have been selected for this world-class chain of 7-Eleven convenience stores in the UAE,” Tamas Hajagos of Carrier Commercial Refrigeration said. “[The company] is committed to enhancing refrigeration with sustainable products and processes, and enhancing merchandising through technological innovation.”

Hajagos said Carrier’s refrigeration products are high-quality and rugged enough to meet the requirements of 7-Eleven, allowing the company to roll out new products and innovations in region.

The first 7-Eleven stores are set to open in Dubai in September of this year and will be equipped with Carrier multideck cabinet and island cabinet refrigerators. The company’s refrigerator cabinets are known for large display areas. They are designed to consume less energy while still keeping products cool for customers.
