Celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor has opened a new contemporary Indian restaurant in Meliá Doha, which is the first Spanish five-star hotel in Qatar.

Kapoor was on hand along with other company officials at the launch, which was attended by the new restaurant’s owner Braik Bin Saeed Al Marri. Kapoor’s team presented an impressive gala dinner, where Kapoor welcomed and educated guests on the Signature restaurant concept.

Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor aims to redefine traditional Indian cuisine by creating imaginative dishes infused with new flavors.

Those dishes are served up in aesthetically pleasing arrangements. The avant-garde restaurant showcases “art on a plate,” a classic Indian dining concept experience where the food is itself also the entertainment.

The restaurant’s interior is elegantly themed and have been designed to create an intimate atmosphere with elegant wooden finishes and white tablecloths. The outdoor terrace invites diners to enjoy a meal set against the backdrop of Doha’s West Bay.

“At Signature, you will be greeted by a staff trained to provide you with a top-notch dining experience as well as a menu that integrates the best of traditional Indian cuisine with signature dishes that showcase quintessential Indian ingredients and cooking techniques,” Kapoor said.

Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor at Meliá Doha is open for both lunch and dinner.
