The third Pedia Dubai International Conference in Pediatrics and Neonatology took place April 1 and 2, thanks to the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences and in cooperation with the RAK Medical and Health Sciences University.

The conference was held at the Al-Murooj Rotana Hotel in Dubai, with a theme that focused on “a healthier life for next generation.”

Approximately 400 doctors and specialists from the U.S., Australia, Europe, Egypt and the GCC countries were expected to attend. Those in attendance received 22.5 CME hours, accredited by the UAE Ministry of Health and Dubai Health Authority.

“The tireless efforts exerted by all health institutions — for achieving excellence across all its sectors in all medical specialties — should be accompanied with a parallel development in the continuing medical education sector in terms of the level of the programs’ quality, and its ability to satisfy the actual needs for specialists in this field,” Abdullah Bin Souqat, executive director of the Hamdan Medical Award, said.

The program included 10 workshops, eight scientific sessions and 27 lectures.
