Council of Saudi Chambers issued the following announcement on Dec. 5.

The Council of Saudi Chambers in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Najran yesterday (Wednesday) in Najran Chamber, the second ministerial open conference entitled: (incentives of trade and investment in Najran), which is one of the initiatives to stimulate the private sector, with the participation of His Excellency Minister of Commerce and Investment The Chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers, Dr. Sami bin Abdullah Al-Obeidi, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Najran Mr. Muhaimid bin Saleh Al Sharma and a number of officials and business owners in the region.

His Excellency Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Majed Al-Qasabi, confirmed that the economic indicators of the Kingdom confirm that the Saudi economy is going through a stage of growth, especially in a certain economic sector such as mining, tourism and entertainment. In addition, the Kingdom is the region’s largest economic power, the highest purchasing power and the highest youth population in the region and is part of the G20.

He also praised the growth of business sector in Najran recently by 16% over the past four years, hoping that the Najran region will be a logistic and free trade area and attractive to the tourism and mining sectors.

For his part, Chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers Dr. Sami Al-Obeidi praised the ministerial conferences and their outputs. The Najran region enjoys many competitive advantages that support the growth of trade and investment.

The head of the Najran Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Muhaimid Al Sharma Najran, has distinguished investment opportunities from a geographical location and provides natural resources and sectors with comparative advantage such as agriculture, livestock, mining, transformational industries, tourism and archeology. Facing Najran region to take advantage of investment opportunities and limited infrastructure and lack of financial support and shortcomings in comprehensive service centers to facilitate and attract investors.

He pointed out that the efforts of the Najran Chamber are summarized by a number of initiatives, including the definition of investment opportunities and linking companies with the Ministry of Commerce and Investment and provide investors with data and investment opportunities with the support and support of the Governor of Najran region Prince Jalawi bin Abdul Aziz and His Highness Prince Turki bin Hathloul.
