Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) Secretary General

Khalid Al Otaiby recently met with Mayor Erion Veliaj of Tirana, Albania, to discuss areas of economic collaboration between the two countries.

The two leaders and their delegations sought to emphasize the important relations that unite Albania and Saudi Arabia. The goal of the meeting was to sustain and build on these relations with ongoing delegation exchanges. They also want to sign memorandums of understanding, improve the workings of their relations and their private sectors and share information about various business opportunities.

Al Otaiby said there are a variety of strengths in the Saudi economy. He also discussed the strategy of the economy, which seeks to improve its relations with friendly countries like Albania. This is especially important with Saudi’s high quality products and large enterprises, which are good investment opportunities and which can be shipped to Albania.

Veliaj said Albania is interested in improving its bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia. He also urged Saudi investors to seriously consider Albania and its opportunities and incentives. He encouraged business delegation exchanges, seminars and workshops that focus on business opportunities, like energy, tourism, agriculture, real estate, health care and manufacturing.
