Luxury real estate developer DAMAC Properties recently won four Africa & Arabia Property Awards, one of most desired accolades in the Middle Eastern real estate industry.

The Africa & Arabia Property Awards are part of the International Property Awards that acknowledge excellence of residential and commercial property companies around the world. DAMAC Properties received awards for Best Hotel Architecture and Best Developer Website, and highly commended honors for Mixed Use Architecture and Golf Development.

“We are delighted for DAMAC’s success in this year’s Africa & Arabia Property Awards,” International Property Awards CEO Stuart Shield said. “To be awarded across such a variety of categories is an incredible achievement, especially against this year’s competition.”

DAMAC Properties earned the Best Hotel Architecture Award for AKYON Hotel and Hotel Apartments, while the entire AKYON City development was praised for mixed-use architecture. The mixed-use development on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road includes the 80-story AYKON Hotel and Hotel Apartments, 65-story office tower, 63-story serviced hotel residences and 60-story apartment tower. DAMAC Properties was also commended for AKOYA, its 42-million-square-foot golf course development.

“These awards recognize those distinguished projects in a highly-competitive region, and are a testament to the pioneering role that DAMAC continues to play in luxury real estate,” DAMAC Properties Corporate Communications Vice President Tim Fallon said. “DAMAC Properties has a vast portfolio of luxury projects and we are especially proud to celebrate the recognition of two of our most desirable projects — AKOYA by DAMAC and AYKON City.”

The real estate developer’s website was also named the best among others in the Dubai region.
