Phase One of Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Metro project is one step closer to becoming a reality with the selection of Dayton Superior to provide the necessary steel-forming systems.
The systems will come from Dayton’s Symons line.

“We have very strong engineering, supply chain logistics, operations and commercial teams focused on delivering millions of pounds of Symons forms to the project before year end,” Jim McRickard, Dayton Superior’s president and CEO, said.

Dayton Superior operates 13 manufacturing plants in the U.S. as well as 15 distribution centers located across the U.S., Canada, Latin America, Australia and China. The company has provided materials for infrastructure and commercial projects all over the world.

Phase One of the Riyadh Metro project, which is being overseen by Riyadh Development Authority, will complete work on two metro lines. Line 1 will measure 38 kilometers and include 26 stations; Line 2 will measure 25 kilometers and include 15 stations.

The Riyadh Development Authority has commissioned the BAC Consortium as main contractor for the project, which is made up of the Bechtel Company of Saudi Arabia, Almabani General Contractors, Consolidated Contractors Company and Siemens.
