Del Monte said on Monday that it has launched its Fresh Market concept in Saudi Arabia to bring fresh, on-the-go food options to residents.

The firm’s Fresh Market line includes a range of food and drink options, including baked goods, smoothies and salads.

The region has seen an increasing demand for health-conscious food and beverage options.

“The growing appetite for healthier snacks and on-the-go food has opened up a new market catering to the health-conscious,’ Mohammed Abbas, vice president of the Middle Eastern division of Del Monte, said. “We want to encourage everyone to make healthy choices, whether that means a high-protein wrap, an ultra-fresh juice or a protein-rich salad.”

The market allows consumers on the go to grab food and drinks that are healthier than other options in the country.

Del Monte is an international company that specializes in multiple aspects of food production, from growing fruits and vegetables to the distribution of produce and prepared dishes in Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East and Africa.

“We are all about flavor and freshness, nourishing you with our own products prepared in our kitchen the same way as you do at home,” Mohamad Yahfoufi , sales director at Del Monte Saudi Arabia, said.
