DEWA celebrates Flag Day 2025 with ceremony led by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) marked Flag Day 2025 by raising the UAE flag at its headquarters, following a call from HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The event took place at 11am with the participation of DEWA’s Managing Director and CEO, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, along with executive vice presidents, vice presidents, and many employees.

Al Tayer addressed the occasion by stating: “I am honoured to extend my heartfelt congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; Their Highnesses, the Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates; Their Highnesses, the Crown Princes; and all citizens and residents of the UAE on the occasion of Flag Day. This cherished occasion is a profound reflection of our national pride and dignity, and embodies the values of peace, tolerance and giving on which the homeland was founded. The UAE flag stands as a powerful symbol of unity and cohesion among all Emiratis and residents. On this glorious day, we express our pride in a nation whose greatness was shaped by devoted leaders who laid the foundations of a civilisation that has made the UAE a role model in leadership and progress. We renew our pledge of loyalty and belonging to our wise leadership, and we pledge before Allah Almighty that the UAE flag will always fly high in glory, rallying Emiratis and residents with unwavering resolve and the firm belief that our nation will continue to forge ahead with excellence, guided by the wise leadership and the enduring spirit of the Union,” said Al Tayer.

Employees at DEWA used this occasion to reaffirm their commitment to both their country’s leadership as well as national unity. As part of its observance for Flag Day 2025, DEWA introduced an internal website for staff members focused on heritage themes. The site provides information about key moments related to the UAE flag along with other national topics.
