HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), met with a senior delegation from Dell Technologies to discuss potential collaboration in advancing utility services. The Dell team was led by Adrian McDonald, President for Europe, Middle East & Africa; Walid Yehia, Managing Director – Gulf; and Mohammad Amin, Senior Vice President – CEEMETA.

The meeting focused on integrating digital solutions such as IoT, edge computing, and data centre technologies to enhance grid reliability and optimize water distribution. Both organizations discussed the role of artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and machine learning in predictive maintenance of assets, demand forecasting, and improving customer engagement.

A significant part of the talks addressed sustainable digital growth through green data centre technology and energy-efficient infrastructure that aligns with Dubai’s sustainability goals. Both parties also emphasized strengthening cybersecurity measures to protect critical utility systems.
