DEWA explores sustainable collaboration with Nestlé Waters

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), recently met with Asaad Saadeh, Head of Water Resources for Asia, Oceania, and Africa at Nestlé Waters. The meeting aimed to explore strategic collaboration in sustainability between the two organizations.

The discussions focused on DEWA’s efforts to increase efficiency and reviewed Nestlé Waters’ projects related to sustainability and innovation. Al Tayer emphasized DEWA’s commitment to using innovation as a driving force for sustainability, with an aim to position Dubai as a global model for environmental conservation. He highlighted how DEWA’s initiatives, which incorporate advanced technologies and progressive policies, have contributed significantly to economic growth and sectoral development.

“Our partnership with global industry leaders like Nestlé Waters reflects our strategic focus on promoting innovation and sustainability. Together, we can optimise resource utilisation and drive efficiency,” said Al Tayer.

Both parties explored opportunities for joint initiatives that would promote public-private partnerships in tackling global challenges. They also discussed the potential use of artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technologies to enhance efficiency along with sustainability research.

Saadeh praised DEWA’s achievements in sustainability during the meeting. He expressed Nestlé Waters’ willingness to strengthen cooperation with leading institutions such as DEWA.
