Dewa hosts workshop to enhance youth skills in AI innovations

The Youth Council of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organized a workshop in collaboration with Microsoft to enhance the skills of DEWA’s young employees. The event, held on World Youth Skills Day 2025, focused on teaching effective prompt writing for Microsoft 365 Copilot. Thirty young employees from DEWA participated in the workshop, exploring the advanced capabilities of Microsoft’s Copilot technology, which utilizes generative AI. DEWA was among the first utilities globally to adopt Copilot in January 2024.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, emphasized the organization’s commitment to equipping its youth with AI innovations. “In line with the vision of our wise leadership and the National Youth Agenda 2031, we are committed to building a generation capable of shaping the future,” he stated.

Aysha Mohammad Alremeithi, President of DEWA’s Youth Council, highlighted the importance of workshops like these. She said: “With the support of DEWA’s top management, we organise specialised workshops and events in co-operation with major local and international companies.”
