The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has initiated the Sustainability Principles training programme in partnership with TÜV Rheinland Academy. This marks the first cycle of this programme, designed to provide participants with a thorough understanding of sustainability across different sectors. This initiative adds to DEWA’s existing nine professional training courses, which have awarded over 220 accredited certificates.

This programme is part of DEWA’s strategy to position its Sustainability and Innovation Centre as a global hub for innovation in renewable and clean energy. It aims to empower specialists by enhancing their skills through comprehensive programmes addressing emerging trends and challenges. The centre collaborates with local and international universities, academic institutions, and start-ups to meet future labour market demands.

Participants will explore sustainability metrics, tools, trends, and innovations. They will learn about global environmental challenges, social and economic aspects of sustainability, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and how to incorporate sustainability into organisations. The programme includes an online workshop on May 19-20, 2025. Registration is available at https://shorturl.at/tPPHm.
