The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced the opening of registration for the fifth batch of its CleanTech Youth Programme. The programme is designed to attract young Emirati energy leaders, aiming to enhance their understanding of clean and renewable energy, while also fostering entrepreneurial skills and encouraging participation in climate action efforts.

The initiative includes workshops, educational sessions, and field tours featuring experts and pioneers in clean technology. It is part of DEWA’s broader strategy to empower Emirati youth by preparing them as future sustainability leaders. The Sustainability and Innovation Centre plays a key role in this effort by providing an educational environment that enhances awareness about sustainability.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about various aspects of renewable energy, including solar energy, energy storage, green hydrogen, wind energy, electric mobility, and more. The programme runs from July 28 to August 7, 2025. Eligible candidates are university graduates or students aged 20 to 24 studying engineering or science at accredited UAE institutions. Applications are open until June 12, 2025.
