The Women’s Committee of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organized field visits to various DEWA branches during the second quarter of 2025. The initiative engaged over 300 female employees from different sectors, aiming to empower women in the workplace and improve communication.
These visits included interactive panel discussions where female employees discussed the committee’s plans for the next two years. They also presented suggestions to enhance work-life balance and contribute to DEWA’s strategic objectives.
Fatima Mohammed Al Jokar, Chairperson of DEWA’s Women’s Committee, stated, “At the Women’s Committee, we are keen to be close to female employees across various work sites, and to provide an open space for dialogue and the expression of opinions and aspirations, following a participatory approach based on transparency and engagement.”
Vice Chairperson Aysha Al Asam Almazrouei emphasized that the tour demonstrates the committee’s commitment to involving female employees in decision-making processes while strengthening professional ties. “This contributes to creating a flexible work environment that enables women to achieve their ambitions and effectively support DEWA’s objectives,” said Almazrouei.
The discussions saw active participation from female employees who appreciated the initiatives. The visits allowed exploration of challenges and proposal of development initiatives aligned with employee needs.
