Dubai-based jewler Dhamani 1969 recently became the first Middle Eastern retailer to earn the Best of the Best Gold Viva Award from the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC).

Dhamani 1969’s award was in the retail category.

“Dubai Mall’s Dhamani 1969 boutique evokes pure extravagance — combining dark, elegant custom surfaces with signature lighting treatments to showcase Dhamani’s bejeweled creations as works of art,”

Dhamani Managing Director Amit Dhamani said.

Representatives from the Middle East Council of Shopping Centres (MECSC) congratulated Dhamani on the award.

“Having played a small role earlier in the retail industry with Dhamani eight years ago, it is extremely gratifying to see the brand Dhamani 1969 rise from modest beginnings to sit comfortably in the arena of such wonderful jewelry legends as Cartier and Graf, Amit Dhamani and his family must surely be proud of this wonderful global award provided by the ICSC,”

MECSC Chief Executive Officer

David Macadam said.

MECSC is the regional trade body representing the shopping center industry in the Middle East and North Africa. ICSC is a major global trade association of the shopping center industry.
