DHL Express, a global leader in logistics, recently announced that Geoff Walsh has been selected as the new United Arab Emirates (UAE) Country Manager.

Prior to his new appointment in the UAE, Walsh previously served as the DHL Express’ Country Manager in Saudi Arabia and will bring this knowledge and experience to his new position. Walsh’s goal will be to use his experience managing integrated operations to help develop DHL’s Freight and Express solutions. To do this, he will devise a customer-driven logistics strategy aimed to enhance operations in warehouses and transportation.

CEO of Middle East and North Africa at DHL Express, Nour Suliman, stated that the addition of Walsh to the UAE team is a perfect fit and he will serve as a good leader to the already motivated staff. With Walsh’s experience in the field, Suliman believes that the UAE team just got that much stronger. Walsh expressed his excitement about the new opportunity, stating that he has a positive viewpoint as far as the future of the business goes.

DHL is well established in the UAE, having been in operation there for more than 40 years. The staff, which began at 15 employees, has grown to more than 1,000 workers.
