Kuwait-based Diyar United Company, a privately owned company
in the Merqab Area providing high-quality technology
solutions to the oil and gas industry, government, security and other sectors, has
devised a cash-free payment system at fuel stations.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) will utilize Diyar’s
invention at its service stations, integrating the program into user-friendly applications
for mobile phones and tablet devices and saving much time and paperwork for customers.
The e-commerce system promises to be highly secure and customizable to driver
preferences.

“We are proud to be a part of this ‘Smart’ initiative,” Diyar United Company CEO Bashar Atout said. “As a technology enabler, we see
it as a professional challenge to align ourselves with the technology
innovation of our customers, driven by the broader national digital strategy as
envisioned by the UAE.”

The cashless payment system will link to a “back-end”
e-commerce system for a seamless experience. Additionally, Diyar is developing
alternate features such as smart tags and ID card-based tokens.

“Apart from the immense convenience and customer
satisfaction that this system can provide, there is also a strong security
factor that will be of benefit to all customers, with small or big accounts
alike,” Atout said.

The achievement represents a sea change in area fueling
customs. Lines are expected to be shorter and wait times reduced, enabling
drivers to get back on the road and to their destinations — particularly in
high-traffic areas — facilitating a smoother-functioning infrastructure on the
day-to-day level.

“We are very happy to have Diyar United Company as
a partner in this landmark project,” Khalid Hadi, ADNOC Distribution’s vice president for marketing, said. “We have always prioritized the
implementation of the most advanced, cutting-edge solutions available for the
benefits of our customers.”
