DSOA to launch Innovation 4 Impact Competition

The Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA) will host the first-ever Innovation 4 Impact Competition at the Global Islamic Economic Summit at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai on Oct. 5-6.

The DSOA is the governing body for the Dubai Silicon Oasis, an integrated free zone technology park. Sharing hosting duties at the event will be representatives from the Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre (DIEDC) and Thomson Reuters.

The competition stemmed from the partnership between DSOA and DIEDC and the organizations’ drive to support fledgling economies in the United Arab Emirates and beyond.

The Innovation 4 Impact Competition will give entrepreneurs a platform to present the businesses, products and services they have to offer. Showcased entries will be judged b an expert panel.

Entries should be in the areas of ecommerce, mobile computing, cloud computing, big data, hyper-converge platforms or new and social media.

The winner will be selected through jury votes and the audience and announced on Oct. 6. The winner will receive a variety of financial, incubational and recreational support prizes.
