The Dubai Association Centre (DAC) participated in the fourth European Association Summit (EAS) 2016 held recently in Brussels to promote Dubai.

As a destination partner of the summit, DAC received a lot of interest from the attendees and held more than 50 meetings with international associations based in Brussels who wanted to talk about the center and to learn more about Dubai.

Hassan Al Hashemi, member of the executive committee of DAC and vice president of international relations for the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that DAC allows a formal environment where international nonprofit, scientific and professional associations can form membership-based communities and open regional offices to conduct business in the UAE and the wider Middle East region.

He added that since its establishment, the center has drawn in a number of global professional associations, enhancing the competitiveness of the emirate’s economic sectors.

DAC was established in 2014 under a memorandum of understanding signed between the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dubai Business Events and the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) to offer assistance for the establishment of nonprofit, nonpolitical and nonreligious professional associations and trade groups in Dubai.
