Dubai celebrates cream of the crop

Some of Dubai’s best businesses came together to claim their awards as top performers and innovators in 2016 at a ceremony at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently.

The ninth cycle of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MRM) Business Award and the first cycle of the MRM Business Innovation Award ceremony honored 32 businesses throughout the GCC region.

Winners of the MRM Business Award were Al Ansari Exchange, AON Middle East, Axiom Telecom, Binzagr Unilever Limited, Damas Jewellery, Doka Gulf, the Dubai branch of Dow Chemical IMEA GmbH, DP World (UAE), Gulf Extrusions, Gulf Insurance Group, Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co., Mohamed Naser Al Sayer & Sons, National Fire Fighting Manufacturing, NMC Specialty Hospital, NMC Trading, Orient Insurance, Union National Bank, UAE Exchange Centre, Vanguard Reservoir Surveillance Services, Zamil Offshore Services Company and Zulekha Hospitals.

MRM Business Innovation Award winners were Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Dar Al Sharia Islamic Finance Consultancy, DP World (UAE), Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co., Huawei Tech (UAE), Kimoha Entrepreneurs, Network International, Wavetec and X Architects.

DP World (UAE) also received the Outstanding Award for Business Excellence and the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank was presented with the Outstanding Award for Business Innovation.
