The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry is committed to recognizing businesses that incorporate social responsibility and sustainable practices into their operations.

To that end, the chamber hosted a ceremony on Dec. 8 to honor 10 of its member businesses with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Label award.

“Today, we are delighted to be rewarding 10 companies, which shows the rising interest of the business community in applying CSR best practices in their work environment,” Hisham Al Shirawi, the chamber’s second vice chairman, said.

Companies honored were Jubaili Bros, which garnered the award for the first time; Bond Interiors, Premier Composite Technologies and Wasl for the second time; Kimoha Entrepreneurs for the third time; Ducab, Emirates Transport, Majid Al Futtaim Properties and Emrill Services LLC for the fourth time; and Standard Chartered for the fifth time.

“It has been five years since the Dubai Chamber CSR Label was first introduced to the UAE business community as part of Dubai Chamber’s continuous efforts in promoting CSR and raising the bar for responsible business practices,” Al Shirawi said.

To date, 178 labels have been awarded to companies of all sizes from a variety of sectors.

“The success of the initiative spearheaded by Dubai Chamber Center for Responsible Business is very encouraging as is evident from the increased number of honorees,” Al Shirawi said.
