The Dubai Chamber of
Commerce and Industry recently celebrated “Flag Day,” an initiative launched by
Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum, UAE vice president and prime minister, and ruler of Dubai.

 

The Chamber hoisted the flag
in front of its head office in Dubai in a ceremony led by Chairman Majid Al Ghurair and attended by top management, staff and customers.

 

“On this flag-raising day,
which is a symbol of the country’s unity and greatness and represents
aspirations for a better future for the people of the UAE, let us renew our
allegiance to our leaders to build a bright future for our beloved nation and
to keep our flag flying high in every field,” Al Ghurair said. “This occasion
is very close to our hearts as it symbolizes our continued feelings of love,
loyalty, and gratitude to the country, and its leadership and to pay homage to
the efforts of our founders Sheikh Zayed, Sheikh Rashid and their brothers who
have dedicated their lives for the sake of our beloved country.’’
