The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently hosted its annual Diplomatic Circle Dinner in Dubai to discuss its future direction and current achievements in the United Arab Emirates’ economic landscape.

The dinner is part of the chamber’s efforts to keep its partners and members up to date about the area’s economic landscape to emphasize its growth.

The dinner included 140 diplomats, including Dubai Chamber Chairman Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Dubai Chamber President and CEO Hamad Buamim and Dubai Chamber Second Vice Chairman Hisham Al Shirawi.

A highlight of the dinner was a presentation that emphasized the growth of the UAE’s economy in recent years.

“According to our estimates, the Dubai economy grew by 3.5 percent to 4 percent during the year 2015 and despite the instability prevailing in the global economy, we expect this growth to sustain during the current year due to the farsightedness of our leaders and their focus on the path of sustainable development through innovation, knowledge and creativity,” Buamim said.
