The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently held a
networking event in Moscow in partnership with the UAE Embassy in Russia and
the Russian Business Council to explore promising areas of cooperation.

The groups involved discussed how the business communities
of Dubai and Russia can both benefit by exploring each other’s lucrative
sectors through close economic ties.

Omar Khan, Director of International Offices for the Dubai
Chamber, stressed the importance of the meeting in developing stronger
bilateral relationships between the two countries’ private sectors. He noted
that Russia will be a strong source of investment opportunities in the areas of
agriculture, food, energy, innovation and technology for UAE-based companies.
He further stated that tourism could be very fruitful for both sides. Dubai is
an ideal leisure and business destination for Russian businesses. He added he thinks
they could use the Emirate as a springboard to venture into regional markets
and the African continent.

Khan praised the support and cooperation of the UAE Embassy
in Moscow in organizing the networking events in order to strengthen economic
ties between the two countries.
