The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently
announced that the Dubai Chamber Sustainability Network conducted a road safety
seminar in partnership with RTA and RoadSafetyUAE.com.

The event came as part
of the organization’s “Be Responsible – Drive Safe”
campaign launched in 2014 and was titled “The Role of Leadership in
Fleet Safety Management.”

 

Organized by Dubai Chamber’s Center for Responsible
Business’s Sustainability Network Road Safety working group led by Tristar Group,
the seminar provided business leaders and managers with ideas, knowledge and
skills for how to to instill an understanding in managers of the influence
they have on safety culture and driver behavior.

 

“As a major player in oil and gas logistics, we are
conscious of the potential consequences of an incident involving road tankers
transporting flammable products, and we remain committed to sharing our
experiences and international best practices to make the roads safer for all
users in the UAE and across the GCC,” Eugene Mayne, CEO of Tristar Group, said.

 

Companies involved in the Dubai Chamber Sustainability
Network Road Safety Working Group include Tristar Group, ABB, SamTech Middle
East, MAN Truck & Bus Middle East and Africa FZE, School Transport Services
LLC (STS), Al-Futtaim Carillion, Aramex, Dow Chemicals, EMPOWER, QBG and
Jubaili Bros.
